  2. We’ll explain the possible smile adjustment levels and finance options.
  3. Our Smile Dentist then reviews your scan and meets with you in person, to confirm the result you wish to achieve.  After your approval we send your 3D video scan to be assessed by Invisalign, and book your review appointment within 7 days.
  4. When then confirm your results and order your aligners.
  5. Your aligners are then ordered.
  6. When you come to pick up your aligners, we’ll fit them and show you how to change them, and the best way to care for them.
  7. We’ll ask you if you would like digital monitoring or to and visit every 4 weeks to monitor your progress. Dr Harris is available to answer your questions.
  8. At the end of the treatment Dr Harris will check to see if your teeth are completely straight. And then you’ll have the smile you’ve always hoped for.

When it comes to getting straighter teeth, you have a choice between braces with wires fixed to your teeth or removable Clear Aligners like Invisalign.

The process involves wearing a series of clear, removable aligners that gradually straighten your teeth.

A more Confident Smile
Maybe you have a special event like getting married coming up, or you want the confidence to take on the world at work or at school. Small fixes can make a big difference and you will want to show off your smile more often.

A Healthier Smile
Straight teeth are easier to care for. Brushing and flossing becomes a breeze. Your teeth become far easier to clean when they are even and straight, reducing the likelihood of gum problems and tooth decay.

Invisible
Unlike braces, clear aligners are virtually invisible as there are no brackets and wires. They are thin, clear, and fit snugly over your teeth. Most people will never notice you are having your teeth straightened.

Comfortable
With conventional orthodontics, brackets and wires often irritate the lips and cheeks and can feel very tight. Unlike braces, Clear Aligners cause little discomfort and use very gentle pressure on the teeth.

Eating and Drinking
Clear Aligners are removed for eating, so you can continue to eat all your favourite foods. Unlike Normal braces where it can be difficult to eat normally.

Cleaning and keeping a healthy mouth
It’s easy to remove the Clear Aligners to brush and floss your teeth. Flossing and brushing and generally keeping your teeth clean is more difficult with braces on.This can result in inflamed gums and tooth decay.

Yes! A great solution for both adults and teens looking for a virtually invisible method to improve their smile. Technological advancements make it possible to fix nearly all common teeth-straightening and bite issues, from simple to complex — all without interrupting your busy life.

The cost of your treatment is based on how many aligners you need to straighten your teeth. At Alba we send a 3D scan of your teeth to be assessed. The results take a few days and at that time we can give you an accurate pricing and how long the treatment will take.

There are several options to make Clear Aligners more affordable for you. Ask about the monthly payment plans.

Yes. Many people who had braces choose Clear Aligners as a discrete solution to improve their smile and shift the teeth back.

Yes .Clear Aligners are  a great way to go, as treatment with braces may not be possible as its difficult to attach the braces to crowns and veneers.

Yes, you can remove your Clear Aligners for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing. You can take them out for special occasions, like a wedding, job interview, or for playing your favourite sport or musical instrument. Try and limit the time out of your mouth to 2-4 hours a day at the most. The more time in they are in place the better the results will be.

Unlikely, as your teeth may not move enough if you only wear them while you sleep. The teeth need a constant gentle pressure to shift them. Otherwise they keep bouncing back during the day. You need to wear your Clear Aligners 20 to 22 hours a day to get the results you want.

It may take a couple of days to get used to having your Clear Aligners in your mouth, and you may have a slight lisp. This usually disappears very quickly.

YES. It is recommended that anyone who has orthodontic treatment, use a retainer to prevent teeth from getting crooked again. This may happen for Braces or Clear Aligners,

Crooked/Crowded teeth

This is where you don’t have enough room in your jaw to accommodate all your teeth. So your teeth bunch up, overlap and twist, sometimes getting pushed to the front or the back.

In addition to looking crooked, crowded teeth make it hard to brush and floss well. Then plaque, tartar, and harmful bacterial may build up. This may lead to tooth decay and gum disease. Crowded teeth can also get worse over time.

Gap teeth

When you have gaps between your teeth, the appearance between the front teeth is often not as attractive. Clear Aligners close these gaps giving a better appearance. In addition this reduces food getting caught and is easier for cleaning.

Crossbites

When you close your mouth and some of your teeth don’t line up properly. Ie: one or more sit outside the others, this is called a crossbite.

A crossbite in the front can make it look like you have a missing tooth. It can cause your teeth the wear down or chip. It can also make your gums start to recede.

Large Overbite

An overbite is when your upper front teeth overlap with your lower front teeth. Most people on average have a small overbite.

When your overbite is too large, you may have the appearance of “buck teeth” or another variation is a deep overbite. Deep overbites can lead to abnormal wear on front teeth and sometimes jaw pain as the jaw cannot move freely.

Clear Aligners can fix many overbites and straighten the teeth, but very large overbites may require more specialised treatment.

Open bite

If your upper and lower front teeth don’t touch when your mouth is closed, this is called an open bite.

An open bite can make it hard to chew or difficult to bite some common foods, like apples and can also affect speech. Some people with an open bite have a lisp.

Underbite

An underbite is when your lower front teeth are in front of your upper teeth when you closed together. This may be a problem with your lower jaw being too far forward, or larger than your upper Jaw.An underbite can make it hard to chew properly and speak clearly, and it might cause your teeth to wear down more quickly.

Clear Aligners can fix some underbites but large underbites may require more specialised treatment.
